Me- "Wise men talk because what they say is if intelligence and importance and they pick and choose when to talk; but fools, fools talk because they feel like they have to say something, no matter of its meaning behind it."
"Wise men speak because they have something to say; fools because they have to say something.” ― Plato Plato means that wise people speak when they have facts and are willing to listen to what others have to say. Fools do not know how to observe and listen and think, they just speak based of feelings and personal bias.
The object of knowledge is what exists and its function to know about reality. (Plato) Knowledge exists to help us understand what is around us. It also helps to tell us how the world works.

We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light. This quote means that children that are in fear at young ages can be helped, but when men in a good life are afraid their is no saving them because only they can redeem themselves.
"We are twiced armed if we fight with faith" - Plato This quote obviously means that if we fight with religion or some kind of belief, we are more than able to fight. This gives us a very important insight on Plato's philosophy as we can see that he values religion very much. This probably how he saw most of the Greek wars as he saw them righteous.
"One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors" If you don't try to take part in what power you have in the fate of how you live your life everyday in your country but be surprised if things seem to be going bad. The people utilizing that power are doing wrong by you and misusing it for there own gain rather then the good for everyone
"People are like dirt. They can either nourish you and help you grow as a person or they can stunt your growth and make you wilt and die." When comparing people to dirt, people can either help you through life and help you grow, or will you bring you down as a person and cease your own growth.

What Plato seems to be saying is that when we are young it is the darkness, the fear of not knowing what is there because we can not see it, however, when we grow up we are now afraid of the light, which is passing away and being forgotten.
"The first and greatest victory is to conquer yourself ; to be conquered by yourself is of all things shameful and vile. " In life the hardest thing to do is to face your self and to confront everything bad about your self . Once you have faced everything bad about your self you feel better mentally and physically.
"There will be no end to the troubles of states, or of humanity itself, till philosophers become kings in this world, or till those we now call kings and rulers really and truly become philosophers, and political power and philosophy thus come into the same hands."
All those that live in the world will be in a war like state till philosophers become to leaders or when our leaders truly become philosophers and are able to use both with great effect.
The direction in which education starts a man will determine his future in life. If a man is brought up to care only about his riches and status then he will continue to live like this for the rest of his life. A man brought up in knowledge and virtue will continue to pursue this type of lifestyle for the rest of his life. The upbringing of a man is important in shaping a man's future.
Good people do not need laws to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws. There are no good laws for good or bad people simply good people show the act of responsibility and bad people go down the opposite paths.
Courage saves man from fear. Certain fears can lead to insanity or paranoia. Insanity and paranoia occupy a large part of people's lives, so having courage can save a person's soul.

Plato means in saying this there are two types of people, ones with good morals and ethics that will help you grow and thrive as a person, and the ones that will hold you back, prevent you from going anywhere and holds you to the lowest point possible.

"Tyranny naturally rises out of democracy." In the wrong hands, freedom can be suppressed by those who were put in charge of protecting it.

Plato never said pretty much most of these quotes. And most of them go against things Plato discusses in his dialogues.
